What is Youreka Mobile?

Like Youreka forms in Salesforce Mobile, Youreka Mobile allows users to access, view, edit and create new forms. Youreka Mobile offers a more streamlined interface from which to access forms compared to Salesforce Mobile and it also enables users to capture and create data offline, something Salesforce Mobile does not offer.

In this exercise, we will outline the various tabs in Youreka Mobile and create a new form from our template. Ensure your template is marked Enabled on Mobile.

    1. Download Youreka Mobile onto your mobile device – Need help? Click here for instructions:
    2. Login to your org from the Salesforce login page after download.
    3. Within the application, you will see only four tabs along the bottom of your screen:
      • Forms (default page): Allows you to open and edit any mobile enabled forms attached to your User ID. You will be able to download and remove other mobile enabled forms from your instance for which you are not the owner but this is explained in the Search Tab functionality. Any newly downloaded forms will appear in this list as well.
        Expand & Collapse:
Clicking Expand will offer more details about each form including which Form Template the form was created from, the created date, Form Number, or any other field you add to your Mobile Columns Field Set. You can easily edit and customize this view. Follow the simple Edit Mobile Form Cards tutorial here.
      • New Forms: The New Form page displays the list of mobile available templates that can be used to create new forms on the mobile device. It can be accessed by clicking on the large Plus icon in the lower-right corner of the forms page. To create a new form from a template, choose the template from the templates tab. To create a new form from a launchpad, choose the launchpads tab first, then select the launchpad. The mobile New Form Wizard will then open  where you will be prompted to enter any required fields in the template (i.e. a Contact, Account or Opportunity) before completing the form.
      • Search: Found from the hamburger menu, the Search page displays a search list of all mobile enabled forms that the user has access to in their Salesforce instance, including ones created by other users. This is helpful in cases where users in the same org need to share forms and need access to forms other than their own. You’re able to search forms using the search bar at the top of the tab and can filter forms based on criteria like the Form Number or Form Template Name. To download a form to your device, simply tap the blue Download icon to the right of the form. The form will quickly download to your device and will be marked available offline to indicate a successful download.
      • Sync and Data Management: The Data Management page shows counts for the number of Form Templates, My Forms (the forms related to your ID), All Forms, Launchpads, Photos and unsynced Forms and Photos on the device. It can be accessed from the hamburger in the upper-right corner of the app.
*Prior to any offline work with Salesforce Objects, ensure to Prep for Offline before going into offline mode.
*If a user is creating or editing forms offline, the data collected will automatically sync once connectivity is re-established, assuming the app is not in offline mode. If you need to force a sync for any reason, click on the sync icon in the upper-right corner of the app, or on the Sync button on the Data Management page.
  1. Click back to the New Form icon and choose the template for your new form.
  2. Select an existing account record to test and then we will create a new contact record. From the New Form Wizard, click the New Record slider and click Save.
  3. Fill out your new form, entering in all fields as you go. The arrows on the bottom of each page can be used to navigate through a form with multiple pages. You can also jump to various pages in your form from the dropdown menu on the bottom of the screen.
  4. From the hamburger icon in the top left of your screen, you can Save, Quick Save, take Photos or Cancel out of your form.
    • Save: Saves the data you’ve collected and takes you back to the forms page within the app.
    • Save & Close: Saves the data you’ve collected and takes you back to the forms page.
    • Photos: Opens a screen which prompts you to take and attach a photo to your form.
    • Navigation: Allows you to jump to different sections of your form.
    • View Insights: Saves your form and generates any discoveries or Einstein findings, if built into the form.
    • Generate PDF: Creates a PDF of your form and adds it as an attachment to a new email on your device.
    • Cancel: Cancels out of your form and navigates back to the forms page. If any data in your form was saved at any point (through Save & Close or auto-save as you move from page to page), it will not be lost by clicking Cancel. Empty and unsaved forms will not be synced.
  5. Once you are finished entering data into your form, click Save to navigate back to the Forms tab. You will see that your new form was created in this list.
  6. From your browser, navigate to your Contacts list in Salesforce to ensure that your newly created contact and contact details have been created.

You’re now Mobile and Offline Ready!
